Neptune In Pisces

The project “Neptune in Pisces” is a work that brings togheter two different decades, the years characterized by the Pre-Raphaelites artistic expression that began in 1848, and the present day, from 2011 until future 2025.

How does it do it?

Analyzing the astrological archetypes of Neptune in Pisces, a transit that characterizes both periods.

As a result, we tried to create a narration in which these two decades could coexist at the same time: a fashion editorial dedicated to the metaphorical representation of the archetypes of Neptune in Pisces, which are themselves a metaphor of human experience.

The locations of the shooting are all found nearby the Venetian lagoon, places strongly connected to the past that resist the changes of the present, representing a state of being that fluctuates over time.

Focusing carefully on the Pre-Raphaelite artistic endeavor and its enormous influence on the visual representation of today’s fashion and society, the styling represents the meticulous search for the cohesion of the two aforementioned historical periods, where the composed refinement of Pre-Raphaelite women could meet with the canon-free expression of nowadays.
